Ok, worked on the S all day today...Put new brakes, mounted the gas tank, ran the new fuel line, rebuilt the recoil starter..
I think I need new sprockets...I adjusted the chain and it rolls just fine until it gets to a certain point and then kinda binds... The teeth on the sprockets seem kinda sharp but why would it cause it to happen in just one spot???
It starts and revs just fine but smokes like a 2 stroke!!!! New top end maybe????
I can get it to idle but then it dies...I start it again and it idles then RPMs start kicking up to the point I shut it down....Carb Rebuild????
When I got the bike the kids that had it were running mixed fuel in it...
Does anyone think that this thing is just burning out what was in there???? After the mix went through the carb did that gum things up????
Oh yeah, I also refered to the manual and I think I adjusted the self adjusting cam chain...just loosen the nut at a idle and that takes care of it I guess....Any advice is WELCOME!!!!!
