I'm in the need of a rebuild kit or a new petcock for my 85r. If I turn it to off to do carb work it does not completely stop the flow. I'm tired of my inline valve so is there any better option than a NOS one from eBay for about $65. It's about the only thing I can find for this 85-86 tanks

Yep, all you need is a new gasket. Petcock gasket (4 hole): 16955-HA2-005

Oh and just so people know, the gasket is not listed on the ATC 250R fuel tank diagram. Its listed on the 86 TRX 250R fuel tank diagram. I dunno why they did it that way.

Thanks for the help... I think I'll try the gasket first and just rebuild the original one. If I don't have any luck I'll be switching to the cr petcock looked like it was about half price

I got my gasket the other day and got it installed. Works flawlessly which is great because I was really tired of the inline valve. The old gasket had been worn down so all of the holes were almost connected. Anyways thanks for the reply's, and I kept the old gasket so I might post a picture sometime
