Banshee rear shock fit 2nd gen Tecate?

I see lots of forums mention that the raptor, and banshee shocks
fit the first gen tecates but will they work in the 2nd gens?

Only the 2001 Raptor Shock works because it has a remote reservoir. The 2002-2005 Raptor and all the banshees have the reservoir attached to the top of the shock, so it is impossible (or would require serious engineering) to get them to work. Also, if you use the 2001 Raptor shock it will raise the rear end because it is longer than OEM--by how much I can't remember.

Don't they mount the banshee shock upside down to overcome the reservoir issue?
Any other shock options for us 2nd gen owners?
