It really depends on the size of your wallet and just how much brighter you want it . . on the super bright side, you can get lights that will make it look like daylight, which is what one would use for high speed racing in the dark like the baja races etc . . the setup jb3wheels will be brighter than most . . you can easily spend $700.00 or get something that is still pretty bright for fairly fast recreational riding for maybe $100.00 . . There are many lites on ebay similar to the one jesiwinehart posted that can be had for around $20.00 to $35.00, and many will fit inside the headlite housing with a little work . . the CREE led bulbs are typically brighter than the others, and if a lite has CREE bulbs, it will be mentioned in the ad.

I just had the headlight bulb burn out on my 250sx. I found this led bulb on Ebay; http://m.ebay.com/itm/Honda-ATC-250SX-1985-1986-1987-LED-Headlight-Bulb-ATC250SX-/400928875725?nav=SEARCH. Is that a direct fit with no changes required?

That looks like a very cheaply made LED, and from personal experience with that type of design, several of the individual LEDs will be flickering or completely out after a couple months of riding time.

For that price, you can buy replacement H4 halogen or xenon bulbs from your local auto parts store and they'll very likely be brighter and last longer than that cheap LED.

The 250SX uses H4 bulbs and the 200M, which was the original question, does not. You have many more choices for drop-in upgrades.

Ebay isn't the best place to buy something based on the sellers feedback. Many of the customers just post random feedback about the transaction and not actual long term reviews of the product. Searching forums where people are vested is a great start, and many forums have vendors who actively use the forum to generate sales, therefor they must treat customers well or they won't be on that forum long before word gets around they aren't good to deal with.

Here is a good vendor thread for LED headlights: http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/led-headlight-bulb-replacement-modules.948701/

They have LEDs that will drop into the 250SX H4 housing. Whether or not there is enough room for the back part of it, I don't know.

I was just going to ask about a stock looking brighter option for my SX so thanks

I got the 7 inch LED light installed. It did fit the guard okay enough (had to tweek the mounts about 1/4" on both sides.
Darren, you get anything going yet ???
I have a LED tail light with brake light coming in next. Had the brake light switch for a couple of years now,,, bout time to use it.
