I'm trying to decide between an OEM or aftermarket bearing carrier and which would be best to go with. I've seen some members use this aftermarket one I listed. Which offers the best quality? I've always been a bigger fan of OEM but sometimes aftermarket is the better way to go.

aftermarket bearing carrier I'm considering:

dual row aftermarket....why would you only way the rear supported by 2 tiny bearings and a horrible adjusting cast system. new dual row carriers are $90 shipped with bearings.

I don't know what year of 350X you have, but that only fits the 1986

They fit 85 just fine too. Just have to use different bolts to make it all work.

Cool, I have had that unit it my hands and it is very, very nice for the money, I went with a 1986 250R set-up and did not use it.

I have 3 350x's. One has the aftermarket, the other two have OEM. The OEM is they only way I'll go anymore. The after market ones are billet which is softer than the OEM cast ones and distort easy. I have had zero problems with my OEM carriers and bearings, and nothing but problems with the after market one.

you cant go wrong with OEM! Honda made best parts to date. Bearings easy to replace and a bit cheaper than buying complete aftermarket carrier.
And one last thing carrier has last 25+ years rebuild with OEM bearings and it will last 25+ more years, good luck.

I have OEM 300ex one if you really need one, have a 300ex axle and all the rear end stuff with new bearings in it on a quad I'm parting for a friend.

I used to think I want it to stay for 5-10 years. Then I realized that was dumb thinking. If you want it to last while your heavily banging on it you need to disable, clean and relube everything once a year at least. Racing means every couple of months minimum. The old days of "putting" no longer happen. OEM parts were designed for casual occasional riding not heavy or racing. If your going to ride a lot or race plan on bearing replacements yearly and sometimes 2 times a year. I have replaced tons of OEM bearings and carriers due to wear from more use than intended. I don't like slop in my bikes so I tend to replace when they wear even a little.
I would go with the aftermarket.
