I thought it would be interesting and beneficial for a thread about what 3wheeler parts you wish someone would produce that are no longer available.
There are quite a few folks here who have and still do produce the parts we can't get anymore and sadly some of them are also no longer with us.
I am particularly interested lately in the reverse engineering goin on to try and make new Tecate CDIs and I hope it carries over into other makes as well.
Please list what trike part or parts you wish someone was still producing. I know we all have quite a nice aftermarket here already with everything from gel coated low pro fenders to T3 refurbed flywheels to poly swingarm bushings to you name it but I know all the bases aren't covered yet
I would like to see the Tecate CDI get produced. New wiring harnesses might come in handy too as it seems I'm always having to repair the cracked up old ones.
I don't want to argue the merits of capitalism or the market dynamics of ATCs. Just list what you wish you could obtain.

Metal fuel tanks that match OEM dimensions would be on the top of my list. Makes me wonder what Honda did with the stamping dies.

Ironchop, I heard that some guys in Europe use this companies KX parts and adapt them to the Tecate, I have never tried.

185S seat pans and 1st Gen 250R seat pans.
Also - Steel 85-87 Big Red tanks. They like to rot out on the bottom side. Even my super nice one shows signs of deterioration.

200x rear caliper mounting bracket - all years
I actually have one at work here on my desk because I was thinking of repopping the 83-85 rear caliper brackets. Took me a year and a half to find one for my rear caliper on The X and I had to pay $50 for it because it was NOS. It had no pins but I used the pins off a CR85 bracket and they worked just fine and are still available.
I might try and machine some out.

I'll second the motion for CDI's that function properly, even for 250r...particularly the '85 as the '85 harness is not compatible with the later R CDI's. Some people don't want to fuss with swapping the harness. Yeah, there are some aftermarket units available, but try and find someone who has run one that hasn't been the origin of some severe kickback or high RPM problem.
Yes, there are OEM units still kicking around, but they won't be around forever.

Well, I am working on a redesign on the Swinehart Tri-Z underseat airbox. Still doing some R&D and getting the parts to my fab guys to see if plastic or aluminum makes more sense for the materials. Also looking at possibly recreating the Top Mount gas tank in aluminum.... Any interest in either of these?
