I think I really have the bug bad. I'm picking up another trike in the morning. All I know is that it's a 200. No pics, no model number. Owner just says he believes it is an 85 with electric start, chain drive, no reverse, and 25" tires.

He says it will start if you pull it, but has no power.

Could it be a 200m? [emoji2] Or is it a 200e?[emoji34] Won't know till in the morning.

Pulled up into the owners yard and looked out over the vast expanse of dismantled 2 stroke and 4 stroke dirtbikes and quads. In the back corner of the yard right next to a couple of 250 big reds that had seen their better days sat the mystery parts bike in all its glory.

Would it have the front forks that I need to complete my rebuild? Maybe a piece of good plastic or two? After wading through 8 inches of water to get to it. In my new shoes by the way. My heart fell. Front rack. 1983 200e....

Now for the good. This $150.00 "parts bike" has decent rubber all around with 2 matching super swampers in the back. A good seat with no tears. Gas tank with a little surface rust inside. Front forks with the boots still intact.

Currently has low compression. Maybe I'll luck out and have it be a stuck compression release.

It's in good enough condition that I can't make myself caniballize it. Looks like I have another project bike.

Gas tank with a little surface rust inside.

Is it my eyes, or is the paint bubbled up near the steering neck? Hope not, hard to tell when it's wet.

You have good eyes. The inside doesn't look too bad, but there are some pin holes. Will need to line it.

I would've bought it to get running and ridin again too. Don't blame ya one bit. Looks good for $150.

I must say I wanted a 250 BR but after I saw ATCKing riding his 200 at TF, I was super impressed by the kinds of terrain he was able to get thru without any trouble. He ain't small either. They don't get the cred they deserve.

Run it!

Appreciate the pic. Would love to have at least one of them look like that.

Someone had stolen the coil off the bike at some point. I'll have to get a replacement. Do you know if the coil off the 185s would work? I'm parting that one out anyway. I could buy it from myself and use that money for more parts. :)

wasn't that 185 the one you were going to restore for your dad?
