I'm replacing my top end on my 350x. I'm using a trx350 top end off a 86 quad. I set my cam with the journals down and the piston at TDC. Installed my rocker cover and turning the shaft around with a socket for some reason my valves don't have clearance at all in any position. I'm I missing something or should I be checking? I lined up the T and thought all was well. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Isn't the trx350 a 2 valve setup? Are you using the whole top end or just the head? It is possible that the trx uses a setup that turns the opposite direction. Not sure...

The trx top is the same as the 350x. I'm using from the piston up on my motor from the trx motor. I heard of the swap

What kind of tappets do they have? Are they loosened as much as possible?

They are stock but should I be loosing them all the way back then tighten them down to .003?

Found my answer through Jason. Thanks for the info and thought I'd share for the next guy searching
Rotate it all the way around again and back to TDC. There is two tdcs. You want to be on the compression stroke. Cam lobes down. No pressure on the rockers. Set valve clearance when it's on compression stroke with no pressure on the rockers
