Hello all.

Quick question:

Are the water pump covers interchangeable between the '85 & '86 Honda ATC250Rs' ??? If not - what is the difference???

Thanks in advance.

Yes, they are interchangeable from 85-89 on the 250R's.

Yes, they are interchangeable from 85-89 on the 250R's.

The only reason I ask is because the Honda parts book shows the '85 as 19221-HA2-000 and the '86 as 19221-HA2-670.

Am I missing something here - '85 to '89 250Rs'???

85 is painted a different color so it will have a different part number :)

Meaning it continues on with the Fourtrax 250r

Just buy an ESR water pump cover. It is billet as opposed to the OEM cast, and for $39 you can't beat it. Comes with a gasket too

You're right - I forgot about the Fourtrax - thanks for setting me straight.

What red rider was referring to is the 85-89 R engines including the 250r quad

88/89 250r clutch cover is different, it is designed for 88/89 kicker shafts and gears.
