1986 250SX. Found one here in the paper What's it worth ??

There is a guy here who has 3-3wheelers for sale 1986 250R in near mint for 2000.00. A 1986 250SX with a snow plow,chains, and it's own trailer for 1400.00 in almost near mint, and a tri zinger for I forgot to ask him how much. Not interested in the R, but the 250SX has a small crack that has been plastic welded in the rear fender, and he said that this past summer he was loading it in his pickup and hit his tailgate and cracked the front fender a little. Original rubber, and other than the 2 cracks in the front and rear plastic, it's Nice . What do ya think ? 1400.00 for 250SX with snow plow, chains, and it's own trailer sound like a rip off, or good deal ??

It always depends on the condition. I'm looking for one too and wouldn't hesitate to pay $1400 for a really nice one. If it's on the original tires, it hasn't been ridden much. The other stuff you mentioned is all bonus. Ride it and you'll get a feel for it's overall condition. Bearings, cables, and all the little things should be in good shape to pay that price--otherwise, talk
'em down. Aren't you the one who wrote the post about the abandoned rail bed that goes into yellowstone?

You could even see if he will sell just the SX and plow for..say $900 and let him keep the chains and trailer....that would be one helluva deal if its in the condition stated ;)

I saw a plow for the SX sell for $500 on Ebay. They are very rare. The plow works good on flat surfaces and up to about 4 inches of wet snow or 6 inches of fluffy snow. After that you are pushing it.

This is how the plow works. I got really lucky and paid $680 for a near mint SX with the plow. My guess is it is worth $1200 without the trailer if it's in really nice shape.

yater, yea i'm the one who has talked about and rode the abandoned railroad from Ashton, Idaho- West Yellowstone, Montana. My friends and I was on it New Years Day in about 5 feet of snow on my 4 Ski Doo's. We rode all 4 sled's through the tunnel, the pictures that Howdy posted for me last year. Did you see them ?? I may look at the 250SX and other 2 trikes this next week when I get a day off. Later

A nice SX is well worth over 1000$. Especially if it is the type of ATC you are looking for. Remember though that they are not meant to be huge jumpers as they have little suspension but otherwise I find them quite bulletproof and lots of fun to ride!
