Expansion chamber paint suggestions

About to restore a kxt 250 expansion chamber. I'm looking to replicate the oem look. Anyone have paint suggestions that will hold up to the heat?

The only stuff that will not easily scuff or wear off from rubbing is a professional coating . jet hot is the most common . . it might cost around $140.00 . . they only show one black on their site with is a bitchen semi gloss but some other headers coated by them are flat black so you would need t ask them about the difference in color . . Search Google for a location near you.

The other usual suspects are VHT Flame Proof and dare I even mention the name "Rustoleum" 2000 degree high heat paint.

I have tried numerous exhaust paints. Now I only use ceramic coating. Best stuff on the market today IMO.

power coated with high temp PC. this stuff does not even chip off. I've used it on many bikes.

HRE does it. Not sure what he uses but the stuff works.

Thanks, sounds like ceramic or high temp powder coat is the way to go.

Mike does have a guy that has excellant prices.

I like VHT, is it the best? No, but if you get a scratch, ding, rust spot or pull/blow out a dent you can touch it up pretty easy.

3 coats and bake it in a oven.

To touch up, paint the spot and let the engine do the rest.
