Wanted to share an idea that makes masking rims with tires mounted quick and easy!
Use grocery store plastic bags and a putty knife to slip the plastic under the lip of the tire bead. Takes only a couple minutes and makes for a nice way to keep overspray off the rubber.

Nice tip, I keep a pack of playing cards in my toolbox, they tuck right in to the bead and can be reused.

I like this idea too! Sure beats the way I tried to tape them off in the past

I normally take the tires off since the inside of the rim generally needs repainted too lol.

What part of popping tires is easy? LOL
Yes if I am replacing rubber the tires come off and the rims get sandblasted. When a machine has great tread and the valve stems don't leak then that is extra work I am not getting involved with.

Understandable, poping tires off never seen too much of a pain for me unless they are 30 years old with OEM tires. My dad has a bit of a special tool for it though that works well... no not a tire machine.. .but a manual tire machine. Having tire spoons helps a ton too vs something like a tire iron or a large regular screwdriver.
