I had the chance of doing valve seals on my 250sx with out any issues. Until I did a set on my 350x. I replaced my top end with a trx 350 top end. Trying to find that special tool and watching our dollar take a hit. I rigged up a piece of 3/4" copper and cut two groves down the side wide enough to slide those collars through. Small and cheap enough to make with out another tool.

Nice! Not sure what the store bought clamp goes for these days, but I think mine was about double the price of a C clamp when I bought it about 25 years ago. The end looks a lot like your copper tube, but the sliding shaft is worth the extra coin.

The store bought clamps run around 10 bucks on sale at Crappy tire. If you shop alot there you can earn enough canadian tire money to pay for itself.

Like this? I didn't think Ukrainian Tire had such things.

I have what El has. Mine was purchased from Honda in 1987,fawk I am getting old. It was $83 back then. I've used em all, these are slick. But I am very impressed with what you did there Troy. Looks like my shock spring remover :). Little welding and a grinder, wala. But it would make Milner cringe lol ;)

My clamp is just a regular C clamp with a copper piece I rigged up to use with my clamp. I also read on here using a socket and notching it out. Copper was my next option something quick and easy to work with.
