Hi, I'm purchasing my first Tecate this week (had plenty of 250r's) I'm going to be needing a few bits over next few weeks. Anyone know where to get a rear suspension link rebuild kit for an 87? Are they even available? Also do Progressive do fork springs for these?

I think the spherical bushings are still available but not the outer seals. I've researched aftermarket parts for Tecates for years and have never come across Progressive springs. They do sell them for the 1st generation but not the 2nd. Welcome to the Tecate club. It's a fun machine to fix up and ride.

they are very easy to come by, and used on some dirtbikes which are easier to find.
Also the spherical bearings can be replaced with needle bearings
