Thinking of buying this 200x for $500. Needs front and back brakes, and it smokes alittle when it cold. Don't know anything about them so any thoughts would be a great help. Oh and why would it smoke when it is cold? Haven't seen the bike in person, it is a 4 hour drive away so 8hours of total driving and I want to be sure it is worth it. Thanks guys!

it looks to beat on to be worth 500 bucks. You can definatly find a nicer one for a 100 bucks more.

Smoking when cold means a tired motor. Valves or rings need work. I also think that's a little more than it's worth. Keep looking or give them a lower offer. Kevin

Have you tried to talk him down? You could get it for dirt cheap.

I haven't tried to talk me down, what do you think a good price would be for this bike in this shape?
Personally in the shape it's in, I wouldn't pay more than $250-300 USD.

I like how he painted the tank and didn't even remove the gas cap. Perfect example of an 'ole junker. I'd skip it.

Agreed
That isn't a 200x rear fender, and take a look at the chain  What's up with that? Is that the exhaust sticking out the back??? Looks like a major headache

I say if you want a project go for it,but if want something that needs minor or no work at all then pass on it.

I offered him $350 Canadian, he didn't reply. I read on another post on another website that he wouldn't take any less than $600 Canadian. I think you guys are right, I will look else where.

I guess he drove it off a cliff by accident, i hope it was before he took that pic, because if it was after ....
His friend told me he was ramping and the gas stuck open and he jumped off and let her go.... he still wont go anything less than 600CND ... he says its 600neg now so maybe 575 CND.

$500 is too much. I'd say $300-$350 would be a good deal. ;)
