my son tearing down his r found a strange marking on the rear foot brake lever on the inside of it it says EGA never seen that before whats it stand for

Someone told me years ago they market recalls around there. But I have slept since then.

recalls.....meaning somthing about the bike was recalled, checked by the dealer and then stamp with a code saying it was fixed. recalls.

I also have a similar- 3 digits stamped on the back side of my R brake footpedal & wondered what that was all about also. Mine is something like J19?-
I think?-IDK? -it was a while ago I noticed it...
