Aight, so, I know CRF 150F's and 230F engines will bolt up to the 200x frame with no mods. Anyone know if the 150R engine happens to have the same mounts as the 150F/230F? If it does, then I have a sweet project to start on. If I can't find any info, I'm going to just go ahead and buy the 150R motor that I found. Hopefully it fits, or I'll be out major dollars. Any info is appreciated guys. Thanks

The CRF150R is a completely different animal, aside from being water cooled, they are in a high state of tune and replaced the CR80/85, it is a motocross bike made for racing not a play bike like the CRF150F or CRF230F, it also has the swingarm pivot bolt running through the cases.

Can it be done? Yes, but not without major fab work and overcoming many issues.

Not worth it. If your gonna do that I'd put a smaller 2 stroke in there. I am doing a KX112 in a 85 200x right now. It's nothing a weekend and some beers will solve easily.

150R's are very expensive anyway and you must always watch the kickers when swapping into these 200x's plus about 1/2 dozen other issues related to that chassis. If you want to see the kinda work that been done on my KX112 swap into the 200x just follow that build thread.

Nothing is a direct "bolt" in. You will have to do mods but it will be a nice setup remember the rear mount on the 150r goes through the swinger so you will have to cut your swinger for it to bolt in correctly. The front will have to be made to fit the frame and motor but in the end it is a decent motor. Want a better setup? CR125R. More power and performance and way less maintenance. Than the modern 4-strokes that seem to always blow up.
I am putting one in my 200x chassis.
