Yes, there has been a lot of these posts lately but I love to read about them just like you do so here is my most recent aquisition. A clean '85 350x that is unmolested, nearly all origional. It came with the stock plastics with no cracks in them, tool kit and tools, stock bars and controls, dent free gas tank with no rust inside, origional seat cover, owners manual and the rare rear mud flap is intact. Couple tasteful changes like new fork boots, repainted stock exhaust and a change to 20" Ohtsu rear tires that I personally like better than the original baloon 22"ers. I hopped on, started it on the 2nd kick and proceeded to wheelie around his property in 4th gear. Happy with its performance and overall condition the only thing left to do was load it up and head for home. :Bounce

It came from a specific 5pc. all 1985 ATC collection (250R, 350x, 200x, 250EX, BigRed) which all were equally nice or nicer than this one. Wish I could have them all but it was not the time to buy them all for me.

Couple photos of my new ride...

Ha, you guys crack me up with the grass comments. It's been hot humid and rainy here so the grass is growing like crazy! I must mow it every 3 days or it would be out of control. Quite frankly I'm getting a little tired of mowing so much.... takes me away from my Trikes!

Thanks for the compliments on the 350x, I looked all summer at many beat beyond recognition 350x machines that are too much of a project for my time. I surprisingly contacted several sellers of nice 350x machines (some even on this site) that never replied to my inquiry to buy their machine so I just kept searching until I found the right one for me. I wanted a trike that was clean where I would be proud to add it to my garage and a seller willing to talk to me and answer my questions. That was surprisingly almost the hardest part. I drove 2 hrs each way to get it but I don't mind making a trip to get what I wanted. Nothing ventured nothing gained right?

I gave it a quick bath, dry buffed the plastics and removed the spotty clear from the forks and that's about it. It will be a rider (carefully ridden and not mudded) that hopefully hits the sand dunes 3-4 times a yr.

So far I'm impressed with just 1-2 kicks when starting, smooth engine and transmission, plush adjustable suspension and the immediate low end torque of the stock engine. Easily pulls the front end up in 1st - 4th gears and does controllable wheelies with the smooth powerband. Loving the quietness of the stock exhaust and the throttle response of the stock carb, Honda did an amazing job on this trike way back in 1985. Proud to finally own a piece of ATC history and must say all the positive comments I read here about the 350x are all true.

Pricing wise it was not cheap but I didn't pay as much as Honda was selling them new back in 1985. I feel comfortable for what I paid and see it should sell for much more on eBay but I have no plans to sell it any time soon. :p

It came from a family of 1985 ATC'S someone worked hard to put together . ......

The was an ol boy who was selling a 1985 lineup not too long ago. I'm not sure of his name on the boards but I was wondering if you bought it from him?

She's a beaut SSLS1! That is a nice acquisition to your fleet! Congrats! I understand about not saying the price. Looking at those beautiful picture's surroundings money doesn't seem to be an issue.
