After 3 years of looking I finally found a 350x 220939220940220941220942220943220943220944

Now I need to figure out how to get more power out of it, it's seems like the engine is held back and has potential to make way more power

400ex head pipe and carburetor there is a thread on here somewhere covers all of it.

I know that much, it has a small oil leak on the head that is driving me crazy, I'd like to put a cam in it since I have to take it apart. Anyone know where to get top end parts, I've seen the threads I'm just not sure where the parts are coming from.

I am in love, I took her out for a ride today after an oil change and carb clean. I keep going to the shop and just starring at her still amazed that I finally own one. I'm not sure if my tri-z has just ruined 4 strokes for me but it seems like the thing is "plugged up" it doesn't seem to have a whole lot of power. I'll be ordering a new air filter , 400ex Carb and head pipe, hopefully she wakes up a bit

Does it smoke any? It may need a rebuild, or valve adjustment.

Start with a compression test. All of mine that were low on power needed a bore job. All 3 of them were on the original bore when I got them. A bore job and a 10.25 to 1 piston brought them back to life for about $200.

Was that price with you doing it yourself or at a shop? I think I might need the same thing.

That price is doing the wrench work myself. Just down load the service manual pdf file. It's on this site somewhere, I think the members name is "oscar meyer", do a search. The piston kit from wiesco is all over ebay for around $130 including head an base gaskets. The bore job should run you between $50 and $70.

It desnt smoke at all, The PO did 0 maintenance on it judging by the oil. I'm going to adjust the valves today. It has a super trap on it, someone told me that they are adjustable, it seems like it runs good but there's blockage in the exhaust. I counted 13 plates on the end cap, is that normal? I don't know much about these can someone give me a quick rundown on how to adjust/how they work

350x's certainly don't normally run like they are plugged up. They actually have quite a bit of "pop" to them. They do get sluggish when the top end is wore out. They will start fine and run smooth, just won't have the power anymore.

I haven't had any time to tinker with the 350x . I noticed that the head gasket is leaking as well as the decompression leaver leaks oil. Im assuming that would cause a loss of compression the decompression leaver also doesn't function so it looks like I'll be taking he head off and investigating.

Where would I find new packing for my super trapp and what happens when you add/remove diffuser discs I've done some research with no luck finding info about these.

Supertrapp sells packing material through their website, eBay, other suppliers etc. Adding disks makes the exhaust louder and leans your air/fuel mixture. Removing disks quiets the exhaust and makes the air/fuel rich.

The decomp not working is common in these trikes. Check to see if the lever by the kick starter moves when you move the kicker down. That's where most of them are broken.

your 350x should want to wheelie in first gear to forth just throttle no clutch. well that's how mine runs anyways. I only have aftermarket head pipe and k&n filter on mine. maybe your gearing has been changed too? I don't know about the super trap but when I have my dg rcm on I lost a lot of low end power but had gained better range on top end. once I went back to stock muffler it started feel better down low with the added back pressure
