View Full Version : 200x clutch in a 200s ??

or anything else?? i want to make one manual clutch. Possible?

I dont think so....because doesnt the 200s's have a centrifugal clutch and something else???? and you would have to have clutch mounts by the right side case if it would work at all.

You would have to use the whole 200x lower end.

yeah because the 200x has a kickstarter so you couldnt use just that side case.....so Yeah you would have to use the bottom end off a 200x, and you might as well use the top end too cuz i think the 200x's had a little more displacement or milder cam or something.

Yes, it can be done. Use the parts off an XL or XR 185. The biggest job is splitting the crank and putting on the shorter manual crank half. Other parts you use off the XL/XR is the oil pump, gearbox shaft, manual clutch and cover. Plug the bike kicker hole with a welsh plug. Without all the auto parts spinning around using HP, it makes a big improvement in power.

Sounds to me like it would just be easier to use a 200X bottom end!

what year XL/XR 185 ?? sounds simple enough

Sounds like you just need to fine someone that wants to make an autoX. It seems like a lot of people put 200 engines in their 200x and not as many go the other way around.
