atc 250r help

i need a shifter shaft for a 1984 honda atc 250r but the part is discountiued does any one have one or know where i can get one or does any on know if a shaft from another machine will fit

Have you tried www.findmypart.com ? You post what you want and it gets submitted to a bunch of dealers. works great for me.

how do you use it

you go to the website and chose ATV from the left side of the screen. Then type in the OEM number or a good description of what you need and then the make,model,year info and then it will ask you where do want the dealers/sources to email you back? Give it a good email address and in about 2 to 24 hours you'll have responces from all kinds places that might have the shifter.

You can also check this site, http://bikeboneyard.com Brendan has alot of good stuff, and he dosent charge an arm and a leg for it.
