need some 1983 Honda ATC 250R help (axle/carb)

Looking for advice/help for my '83 250R. Recently bought this (didn't run and needed bearings) it sat for quite some time but I got a great deal on it. First one so I'm still very new to it so apologize in advance for dumb questions.
- Verifying: Does '83-'85 200X rear axle fit 1st and 2nd gen 250R's?
- As shown in picture, my carb is literally eaten away. Since there is limited selection on eBay and other suggestions? I know can use later 250R's but I'd prefer to keep it stock carb and reed valves.

Any help in right direction is appreciated.

2nd gen 200x axle works in 83-84 250r. nothing else.
