I want more torque and hill climbing ability out of my 85 200x. Im havin a hell of a time finding a bigger tooth rear sprocket for it. Is the an adapter or different hub for the axle to run different bolt pattern sprockets. I did find a 41 tooth but dont feel like thats a big enough change from 40. Motor is strong and dg piped and k&n filtered. Just always have to enter a hill screamin . And if u let off for a root or rock and get back in the gas she will fall. Thanks guys.

.
yes 1 tooth on the rear is not nearly enough . . it needs to be at leadt 3 to make an appreciable/noticeable difference . . i would simply put 1 tooth smaller on the front instead if you can.

this is just one place that has front sprockets.

also, if you change the front instead of the rear, you will not need a longer chain but you may if you change the rear.

She has a 12t on front now. Can u get a smaller on the front? I thought that was as small as they come

well i have never done that on this model, however, there are at least 4 different sprocket mfgs that make an 11 tooth for the 200x so my "guess" would be that it will fit . . just rotate the wheels once it is installed then look at the engine behind the sprocket to see if paint is scraped off where the chain might rub . . some chains will barely touch the case and make a small wear mark but this is not a prob, but if it is dragging heavily on the case, then dont use it.

why do you want to spend 4 times the money changing the rear sprocket instead of the front?

.
FYI - putting a 44 on the rear is the same as putting an 11 on the front.

Will an 11 fit on the x. It looks like if the front any smaller wouldnt be able to put retainer on.
