For those of you that have been waiting for new performance kits for the 86'-87' 200x the work on the heads has started! As you can see on the left it has a long ways to go to catch up with the 83'-85' on the right.

I didn't do anything to the left one yet, that's the 86', the 84' is on the right, I know how to make them flow.

Could you give an explanation of the kit and other things you would suggest we do while the top end is apart? I have always thought these late 200x's were exceptional, but didn't want to spend thousands to make them hot! If I remember right some of the Powroll performance packages were around four thousand dollars in 1986/1987, involving cranks and boring. I have to many other projects for four thousand dollars, still, lol. Anyway, love this machine and would like to read up about your kit and your suggestions sometime. Do you know of any motor parts availabilty problems or could you touch on that subject too. Thanks

I build kits just for the budget minded customer. We keep it so it runs on pump gas, but with still running enough compression to run a pretty big cam. Piston kit cam valve springs and clutch springs is under $500, another $150 for stock size valve porting

Do you know if there is a differance in the 86+ 200sx and 200x heads? If you need a demo bike I have a couple 86's

There is slight differences but nothing to avoid a direct swap, I have both motors currently with the 200x motor in pieces. The 200x may have bigger valves and the stock cam has slightly bigger lobes.

If it looks like the same head it most likely the same.
