Ok recently I bought a nice condition (cosmetic wise) 1979 honda 110 off craigslist. The problem is that the yahoo I bought it from had been running ethanol gas in it. Now I have stuck floats, leaking bowl overflow etc. I bought a carb rebuild kit. I have worked on big reds and two strokes but not a 110 before.

Here is my question. How in the heck do you loosen the carburetor bolt that sits to the inside? There is no way to get any sort of open end wrench, or socket on it doesn't matter what type of swivel you use. There isn't enough room for the socket itself to sit there. Do people heat up wrenches with a torch and make some custom tool or what? No way can I get on it with needle nose pliers even. Do I have to pull the whole intake down at the head to get it?

You have to take it off at the little intake manifold and then get it off and you can remove the carburetor from the manifold after you get it off the engine

Ps: sorry that wasn't very clear-take the tube off with the carb. Once off you can get them apart.
