Swapping thumb throttle for a twist throttle

I recently picked up a Kawasaki klt 160 off craigslist for a killer deal. I also recentlywas riding it and did the inevitable and flipped it. Smashed up the housing for the thumb throttle. When I first got the trike, I was toying with the idea of putting a twist throttle on. What would I need to do to go about doing this swap. Anyone with experience of doing this. I've seen it done on 2 different kit 160s, and tried to get some information, but they either didn't reply or couldn't remember. Basically I want to know if a generic eBay twist throttle will be able to swap over, or should I look for a similar Kawasaki model and use the twist throttle off that? Thanks in advance

I would call Motion Pro and tell them you want one of their throttles and cable for your trike/carb.

That will be the easiest and will remove the guess work/experimenting.
