Clean your pilot jet, ensure carb is spotless by using spray cleaner and compressed air. Ensure no junk is flowing into the carb from your gas tank. Install fuel filter if necessary.

I already soaked it once and put a fuel filter on it when I replaced the fuel lines, but I I didn't really take it apart, so I guess I'll do that.

What kind of exhaust does it have. If its not jetted right it may not idle. If you think the carbs the problem id buy a new one for about $20 i have two different trikes with a zoom zoom carb. http://1981 1982 1983 Honda ATC 185S ATC185S Carburetor Choke Lever Style 3 Wheel Carb https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KLKJ3W0/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_.60KvbT2Z3T37

It has the original exhaust, I think. Thin wall pipe with a cylinder shaped muffler. Also, I did think about getting a new carburetor for it, if it does need a rebuild.

Put a new O ring between your head and intake manifold. Make sure your manifold isn't leaking air. And if you are sure your carb is spotless, blown out with at least 150-170 psi of air. Replace it.These carbs wear out past getting them anywhere near correct. You can pull your hair out trying.

Take the carb apart and clean it. Leaving it together and soaking it is doing nothing.

OK, I took out the pilot jet and cleaned it, replaced the gasket to the intake, ran better but still died. Then I adjusted the throttle stop and it started idling again.

Thanks guys.

The idling wasn't for long, and now it leaks when it never did before, So i went ahead and bought a new carb for it.

o I bought a new carburetor, installed it, and it idles, but it dies when you gas it. No matter how it is adjusted, if I go all the way out, it dies. Any ideas on adjusting it, or if I need to buy a different carb, like maybe a carb with different jets, or a 200x carb?

I bought a 185 carb, should I have bought a 200 carb?
