Does anyone have a source for one of these? Part number 12 in the attached pic. Thanks!

I hate to say it but unless you find someone who has one laying around you are out of luck. I wouldn't say it is that vital though if you are worried about it.

55 dollars shipped sounds like a bit much to me though. Ahhh well. Thanks for the heads up barnett468.
ebaccm26, I was hoping that I could find a cheap seal just for the sake of completeness.
Thanks again fellas.

I forgot to take a photo of the cage but will. It's on the 200X so if everything looks the same it should work.
I wonder if you can find a lid on ebay or something. I know air boxes in general act as resonators so if it leaks air to much it could affect performance.

Yep. Exactly.
I did buy an airbox lid and put it on the trike already. It fits nice and snug but because I hate having things incomplete, I went out searching for the seal. Given the nice fit I currently have, I believe that the airbox will serve the purpose that factory engineers intended. The nice thing is that I bought the entire airbox and it came with all of the stock mounting metal for the stock air cleaner. I will be ordering one of those this week.
In the end, the only thing that was missing is this damn seal. lol.

If you found out what the seal is made out of (thin rubber, foam) I'm sure one could be made fairly easily for just a few dollars.

.
you can simply go to home depot and tell them you want to look at the adhesive backed seals . . they use then in many apps and have a few different types that are maybe 3/16" thick . . some of them are used on the edge of sliding screens . . if you find one the right thickness but it is too wide, just cut it with a pair of scissors.
