Hi, I have a few questions about my Honda ATC200M recoil starter. It stop working a while ago and now I just got around to looking at it. The dog would not grab the starter pulley anymore, so I put a shot of WD-40 in the hole, and then it seemed to work better. There was a clunking sound from inside the cover, so I pulled the cover and a bunch of parts were loose in there. The ratchet guide, the little ratchet dog, and a small dowel pin about 3/8'' long. Also, a little knob on the end of the ratchet guide was broken off. Will it still work ok with this piece broken? I think some parts may have been worn; maybe because the previous owners did not use the decompressor? Has anyone worked on one of these before? How does it go back together? Sorry, but I don't have any pictures.
