Snorkeling her

Well so I'm finally ready to snorkel my 85 250es, but its my first time snorkeling an atc/atv. For the snorkel, do I just make a hole through the airbox and a long tube that goes in the air? Do i need to put my air vents in there aswell and finaly how big does the hole gotta be? I'm tight on space because i'm passing it around the rear shock to get next to the exhaust snorkel.

You want the intake to be pointed either towards the back of the trike or have a "U" to point it down otherwise the inflow of air at higher speeds will make it run lean and either stall out or burn up. It doesn't have a ram air effect. Other than that just do what's best to keep water out of the fuel. We used to run longer vent line all the way up the snorkel on my brothers trx300 and never had problems that he didn't cause.
