I found a post on here somewhere i can't seem to find it again on newer shocks using the same parts to rebuild the tecate shock. I mainly can't find a new bladder. what used the same one? the seal is easy to find new.

6spd, I think this may be the thread you're looking for, starting with post #23: http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthread.php/172915-86-KXT-Build/page2

The older yz 80 and yz 85 used the same bladder

I put a shot of air in it and it seems to be holding so it must be ok right?

Btw I can not get the cap off the cartridge to get to the bladder. I pulled the clip out and got the cap about 1/4 inch out and can't get it to go anymore. I wanted to take a look at it anyway

Take the valve core out and shoot some shop air into the hole using a rubber tipped air nozzle. Just be careful and have a few shop rags there to prevent it from flying across the room. The bladder is probably fine, mine did have scuffing and the rubber was deteriorating so I think it would have broken down into small pieces and contaminated the oil. Probably would never feel a difference but while you have it apart you might as well replace it, it's cheap.
