The 82 250r axle is a direct fit. I have a plus six in my 84 200x. You will need the 82 250r rear sprocket aswell. 215818

this is what I`m running on my X too. I had a 38T sprocket made by Sprocket Specialists because I couldn`t find anything in the correct tooth size made for the 81-82R that I could use on the X.

I read somewhere that the 200sx quad takes the same rear sprocket as the 81-82 250r. I have a 40 on this trike with a 14 front. The axle is a old school Durablue.

mine is an old school model too.

where did you get a 40T for it? Did you have it made or is it available somewhere I don`t know about?

I would prefer to not spend another $67 on an aluminum sprocket. I would love the option of changing it to a steel 40 to trail ride with without having to change out my rear axle.

I have CNC machined my own sprockets before but Im swamped as hell at work with long term stuff right now and I don`t want to have to tear down to burn one sprocket out and then set up the job again on my own time (about 5 hours up and down) or this wouldn`t be an issue

Mine is from a Suzuki quad ,230 quadsport,lt 250 and 500 and the ltz 400 I think all take the same sprocket..They have a 4 bolt pattern a little smaller and I filed them out oval and it bolted right on. I have a 39 on my 81 250r.

is the center hole of the sprocket tight on the axle or loose?

if it`s tight, I`ll just buy one of them and offset the clocking 45 degrees and just drill a new bolt pattern on the Bridgeport and that way no need for CNC just yet

ok so, the suzuki quadsports work to use the 82 250r rear durablue axle into a 200x?
holy MOO that durablue is $589 and another $159 for their hub for it to work bringing it to a total of 748!!!
that's too much for me right now! i am spending all my $ on my son's tracing and my baja build. dang it!
any other axles that good quality that will fit? This is jsut to chase my kid around the track not win a baja on a 200x. no other options? :(

Yes, 82 250R extended axle. Based on a discussion with Durablue it is heavy duty due to the size of the axle nuts.

With 200x, 400ex, or 450r style it gets pretty wide, wide enough that the tires do not touch the rear fenders on my 200x fully compressed.

Search for a used one. I won this axle off Ebay for around $100, they pop up every now and again. 3wheel drive had on one sale here a while ago for around $175 or so.

I used the stock X disc carrier and an R sprocket with the whole axle flipped backward because the sprocket is on the other side. I didn`t need to buy any hub to make it work. I didn`t need the floating sprocket mount setup from the R either. Bolted the sprocket right to the flange. Used same axle nuts too I think(?) and I used the stock X wheel hubs but needed different nuts for the hub ends because they didn`t come with the axle. That was it.

Of course I bought mine used off KASEY here for considerably less than retail.....WAY less. Maybe you can find another used one.

Is the stock 82 250r rear wider and stronger than the 200x?

I traded a Hondaline atc fairing for mine with OlDeuce.I only have about $40 for the shipping. The stock 82 250r axle is about the same as the 200x axle length and strength.I only used the Suzuki sprocket because I had several. The center hole is alot bigger than the honda sprocket.

Thanks.
I just posted in the ATV classifieds for one. My hope is some of you that have an extended billet axle and are just having the trike to sit int he garage to look at will consider selling me one at a good price and I will even send them my stocker. I really need this for seat time for the Baja and to help my son practice on the MX track.
