kick starter collar between cover and gear?

I think I'm missing the collar that goes between clutch cover and gear. But when I look at the schematics the gear doesn't look like mine.

I'm guessing '85 250R. There was a mid year change in the kicker assembly, but I believe it was only a little thicker spacer.

Its in a 85 r but I bought the motor from my dads friend about 13 years ago and I can't remember what it came out of or if he even ever told me. It was just a spare motor he bought out of paper. But after doing a few hours of googleing and looking at pics. I'm pretty sure its a 88-89 bottom end. And I think the spacer is not needed do to the clutch cover being thicker in that area.
