Just bought a new toy. 1986 250r. Going to go through the whole thing top to bottom, make it brand new again. Got it all apart aside from the swing arm. That pivot bolt is stuck in there good. Any tips on getting it out? Tried heat and hammer. Then heat and a bigger hammer. Won't budge.

I don't have any experience yet but I have been anticipating trouble getting one out of a 86 200x. I was thinking about setting the trike on its side somehow where I could start soaking it with blaster for about a month. Maybe a light coat of silicone to contain the blaster around the motor bolt hole, ect. Some jarring with hammer, blaster then some heat and water. I guess the condition of the whole assembly is going to depend on what it takes to remove it. Some guys talk about cutting the swingarm and bolt if all else fails. Believe me that's not what i wanna hear either. Good luck with your new project and good luck with the removal.

Slide hammer, I'm sure you can make on. Poco loco posted a video of a pretty cool contraption.
