Lookin to replace the plug wire on my 85 250r.

my question..doesn't look like I can just change the plug wire, it appears to be 1 piece.. plug wire and coil!

Is it one piece or where do I buy a new wire, and or coil

NGK makes a splice connector that is well insulated, waterproof, and inexpensive. PN 8083. Sorry, I can't upload a pic for some reason but if you google it you'll see what I mean. I have spliced plug wires on lawn mowers before, by saving a piece of the insulation, slitting it, and wrapping it around the splice like a hot dog bun, then covering with 2 pieces of heat shrink tube. Of course, thats on a piece of yard equipment that doesn't get used in the rain or propel me miles from home. On your 250R I'd buy the splicer or a new coil.

Sometimes you can just clip off like 3/8" off the end after you unscrew the cap and it will give you a better connection. Just assuming the end of the wire is the problem.
