214778214779I have owned this Red set of Lo-Pro fenders for about 2 years now and when I bought them from a member here on 3ww they thought they were Vintage Maier fenders. Last week one of my old teammates sent me some pics of us 30 years ago at Miami national. Lo and behold these fenders on my R are the ones I helped build 30 years ago at Cammex Racing products to sell to the public. I have had these fenders under my nose and didn't recognize them. we only made like 50 White and 100 Red or something like that..Luck is shining down.

214780214781Here is a side view of the fenders....Vintage Cammex, yesterday and today. Also I need to say we put the Honda Lo-Pro fenders on my Tecate late in 1985 when we were doing testing on the Kawasaki 200 kits.

Forgot to mention that as soon as we took delivery of our first 85 model R we yanked the fenders off and cut them up and made the mold for the prototype fenders. If I recall it took us about a month from bandsaw to finished product. We had them made right there locally around Coffeyville Kansas. The business is still open called Charloma Plastics.

Last year I asked about the original molds for the fenders and they did not know what ever happened to them 30 years ago.

They look different from any I have ever seen. I like the way they slope down from the back.
