I'm cleaning up my 85r and when I pulled the foot peg bolts out I found the lover bolts really corroded. Also there was water that ran out of the frame when I pulled one of the bolt, maybe around 6oz or so. I haven't had at washed it since maybe mid July of last year, so the water has been in there at least the last 9mo. Should I be worried about any damage that it may have caused sitting it there? Is there supposed to be a place that will let water drain out that could be clogged? Thinking I will blow it out and maybe try to spray some rust treatment of some sort, any suggestions?
