Has anyone tried one of these? sounds like a great idea. just curious about the pull and twist ratios and usability before i lay down that kinda money.

Cool idea but seems like an accident waiting to happen if you ask me.

How is it an accident waiting to happen?

I've been using one on my "Hybid Quad" for several years now and love it. The thumb throttle is a little longer than stock and easier to push. There's a pin to lock the twist side from rotating, when pulled the twist side has a little more resistance than a "Magura" as the short cable pulls around the wheel. I'm going to buy another one soon for my XR500 3 wheeler....here's a couple pic's with the top cover removed.

Hairy,
What size carb do you have on that quad? I've always wanted one of these but wasn't sure if it would open a 38mm pwk all the way. I run a 400ex thumb throttle and had to grind out some material for it to open enough.

NeverLift,
It's a Mikuni "HSR 45" carb that I machined a plastic cable rotating wheel and bolted it to the left side, normally right side mechanical linkage. Before that I had a 40mm Dellorto carb running alcohol with no problem.
