Does anybody have or know somebody out there that might have the R & S Video footage of the Races in the Tarrent County Convention center in 85.

I think I seen it on Facebook a little back when Micky was talking about it. I'll have to check when I'm off work.

213814 Was a pretty good weekend for me and my team. I was running away in the dash for and crashed, handing the lead over to Tony Osborn :(

Wasn't Tony from Florida and ran a Powroll bike?

Tony was from Oklahoma City. He was a Red headed kid that him and his little brother had some faaast 200X's. As you know Joseph them little thumpers gave nothing up in the tight arenas. When I got the call from Calvin at Cammex we were at an arena in Okc at a circle track. I was on a Kawasaki supplied by my local dealer (Larry's Marine & Cycle) and Buddy Patton and I tangled in the heat and crashed, I remounted first and got to txfer to the main but drew a 3'rd row start outside lane. In the main I made it all the way to 2nd behind Greg Baker on his X and ran out of time, but I guess it looked damn impressive from the stands so Calvin tracked me down :)

It was a lot of FAAASSTTTT 200x's back in the day. Nothing like hearing a full gate leave the line. :naughty:
I remember those guys. I remember them being fast. Was thinking they were from Florida.....that was a long time ago. :P

One neat thing about Mike Kidds races was the dash for cash. He got all the proceeds from the crowd for this 4 lap race. While they were working the crowd for money Calvin and I were walking the track then these kids were on the wall wanting to shake hands and high 5. So I went over to the wall and that started a chain reaction of kids running down to the wall and giving me high 5's plus they were bringing money down to give to the race officials who were holding the money. This went all the way around the arena and by the time we were done I was way amped up and ready to race. I holeshot the field on my 200R and was pulling away when I swapped out going into a tight right hander leading to the jump giving Osborn a $780 gift. I came back and won the 200 main then lined up for the 250 main (on my 200) and ended up 5th or so. I do remember I had a case of arm pump from the finish of the 200 main to the beginning of the 250 main which were back to back :(
