I need help because i just got done rebuilding my 200x and its timeing chain won't get tight. I haven't started the because the chain I've been waiting on my brother that say he knows what to do but every time he i s down here he won't work on it. So if you can come up with any thing. Thanks

Did you change the chain? Do you have the tensioner installed? What year is it? That year may have an automatic tensioner.

I don't have money for a chain,yes the tensioner is installed,and it is a 85. And it has the one where you have to start it to tighten it but my dad sed that it should be tighter before we try to start it.

You certain the timing is right? Did you take the CDI assembly apart for cleaning? If so you could have it 180* out.

Ya its in time my dad helped me and does it for a living.but it was a fresh rebuild

The chain rides at two fixed points (crank cam chain gear and cam gear). The only way to tighten it is to start the bike unscrew the bolt on the auto-adjuster and it will self adjust and then re-tighten. All of this is in your manual. If its still too loose get a new chain because yours is stretched beyond use.

K I will try that and be back to say if it works. But my dog chewed like the first 20 pages out of the manual.
