Looking to send a tank to someone to have it plastic welded... Have matching airs oops that could be cut up to use as filler material (if that's an option) Have a knick in it and need it welded, and curious to know if it welds up clean enough, that I can have it sanded out and polished after its welded...? Not interested in epoxies or jb weld. If it was metal, I would already be done, but plastic is about as foreign to me as working with wood!

Well I suck at metal working and like you, equally as bad with wood.
Plastic I can do okay with.
You have a picture of what area you needing fixed up ?

I have done a bit of plastic welding. You can absolutely sand and polish after. If you have scraps of the same color it will come out great. I work in Shoreview, MN. I could easily show you how to do it If you would like. I use a hot air plastic welder. I'm out of town till the 13th. You could call or text me. You have my number I wanted your white 250sx really bad last year at this same time but just couldn't get the funds together.
