It developed a knock... You'll see what I found. So I figured it's time to tear it down and clean it up. I'm looking for any info, parts, ideas. Would like to build it with actual track racing in mind. I have a few bucks saved back for it.

Contact Mickey Dunlop for
Machining and engine parts. Get your front forks and rear shock rebuilt by a pro so you have it set to your weight.
Get a Mikuni 26-28 mm carb.
Replace all wheel bearings and get an performance clutch. (Barrett)
New cables and grips.
Just doing that will run you into the $1200-$1800 depending on your options. You should decide how much you want to spend. If you plan to actually race it you need to decide what kind of riding and then we can go from there. (Motocross, Cross-Country, Drag, Off-Road, ETC..)
I just listed the basics but some types of racing will require a custom rear swinger and more.

I don't know if it is just the pics but it looks like you already have a longer swinger and wider axle. That is a lot of carbon on the piston. Was it just knocking or smoking too? Mickey does have tons of option for your motor as well as tips and tricks to get it well stronger than stock. Give him a holler. Options are endless.

He is the man.. I'll shoot him a message. I'm looking to set it up for motoX and mild off road. My budget is right at 2k for this one. I know it's getting tougher to find parts or even people that still work on trikes so I figure I better get it going.

2k should have it pretty damn sharp if spent correctly.
