It's a 1985 350x runs mint, doesn't pop, and has plenty of power. The only thing is the carb continuously pours out gas from the overflow. It put a brand new rebuild kit in it and it still leaks. What could be causing this if the carb was just redone? Also on the holder jet there is a nut that you can adjust its height, in my service manual I found nothing about it. Do any of you know what the correct adjustment is? I would apreciate the help.

The nut on the jet holder is a lock nut. Screw the jet holder in and snug it up then lock it with the locknut. If the float is not shutting off, one of two things is going on. 1. There may be a small bit of debris in the float valve seat. Some carb cleaner and a Q Tip will clean it out. 2. the float valve may be sitting in the hole cockeyed. Try tapping the carb bowl with a screwdriver handle or shake the trike real good. This is not an uncommon occurrence with these carbs.

Wow I had no idea you were suppose to screw it all the way in lol it was half way screwed out when I took it apart so I just put it back that way. But ok I'll take the carb back apart and really deep clean it. But wouldn't the trike run like garbage if the float valve was stuck?

When you rebuilt the carb, did you remove the needle jet that's under the jet holder. Its the brass barrel thing the needle passes through. If you didn't, replace it with the one in the kit along with the needle. The jet holder tightens up when it butts up to the needle jet. Just snug it and lock it down. To answer your question, not necessarily. Because the carb is overflowing doesn't make it run bad all the time. The overflow tube in the carb is at the upper limit of the bowl liquid level.

I'm pretty sure I did but I'll double check again when I have it apart. Thanks again
