Just picked up a very mint, very low hour, Suzuki ALT50 Trail Buddy from the original owner. I can't believe how lucky i got. timing is everything, i guess. Guy couldn't get it started while i was there, but i didn't really care. Thing is near perfect. just got it home, and it started one pull. i think the carb was a little stuck. it needs a good cleaning, as it is original. i don't know much about these little guys, but i'll learn. Pics to follow,,, sooon!

Yeah sometimes stuff just looks so good that you just know yer safe. If the outside looks that good the inside does too. Congrats on the score.

i think your boys have already graduated from this little guy. IT IS SMALL! I got it running, but it wasn't running right. i took the carb off and have it all apart now, cleaning it. He had it in a wood shop so there's a ton of sawdust everywhere. Cool little thing, though.

That one looks really nice. Mine is in similar shape. Things i've noticed wrong so far are a stripped screw on the recoil starter, wrong pull handle, and the wrong cap on the oil reservoir. I've ordered all three from bike bandit. All still available, which i thought was amazing. The carb was not terrible. I got it almost all back together. I put a new rope in while i was in there. You can see stress in the plastic under the rear grab bar on the sides. Not cracks, just slightly lighter yellow on the edges. The stickers on the rear plastics are a little peeled. Does anyone make new ones? i'll check with Blue27, but its kind of a niche market i guess. Any tips? I'm probably going to pre-mix. Do i need to remove a gear from the oil pump? Also, any idea on the ratio?

Ya, i could see it was well maintained. it had spark and could hear the compression. no brainer.

Here she is. Cool little bugger. Tiny. It seems fake. I cleaned the carb. I took out the two restrictors and the stacked jet in the carb. still runs a little funny. needs a bit of tuning still. any recommendations from those that have been through one of these?

WOW!! That`s in awesome shape!
Do I spy the tits still on the rear tires?
other than that sticker section and the wrong pull handle, it looks to be used very little.
I suppose you also got it for a ridiculously low price too........no, don`t tell me....I don`t want to know. Again, nice score.

Here is a link to a decal set.

I put these on my recent restore and they are very nice. Also the seller will split up the set and sell each decal individual if you'll ask. Looks like some of the original ones are still in great shape.
Here they are installed on mine.
