'85 350x carrier bearing sleeve?

Pulled the axle out, but i don't see any sleeve or pipe inside the carrier. Does the sleeve space the inner bearing races, and would it be clearly noticeable when i removed the axle? Ordered a "collar" from servicehonda.com that goes inside the carrier, hopii ordered the correct parts. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. I searched through every 350x carrier thread i could find, but didn't find any clear answers.

Yes, the spacer goes between the bearing inner races. Its inner diameter should be just slightly larger than the inner diameter of the inner races. With the axle pulled out, you should see basically a continuous diameter from the bearing race on one side to race on the other side.

I think you ordered the correct part. It is 42621-HA5-000, and is called COLLAR, RR. AXLE.
