Looking for opinions on some temperature gauges. I am liking the dial gague called the super cooler. Ad says it's liquid filled, vibration and shock resistant but probably made in you know where. It's an inline silver anodized cooler with cooling fins on the 3bay. It's about $70 bucks, which is alot and i want to ask before i waste money. I would be buying it for a tecate and want to be able know the temp. The ad says for 3/4" hose and I am not working on or near the tecate right now. Soon though, soon!:p

#1 Has anyone had any luck using this gague or the other digital type gagues, some I've seen have memory also?
#2 Are the tecate hoses 3/4"?
#3 Which hose and which gague?
#4 Is there enough room to use an inline gague without trouble?

I will learn to post pictures and links when I get further into the project. KxtThx you!

Only thing with those type is not really being able to monitor it while riding, that's the number one reason I didn't get one that style. Check out koso gauges, I have the mini lcd water temp gauge. They make an adapter in various sizes for your rad hose ID to allow the probe to connect to the line. It comes with long enough wires to be able to mount to your handle bars or somewhere else easy to see and it just runs off a watch battery

This is the best I found. Its made by trail tec. $50. The dial ones are known for being way off and you can't see them while riding.

Is that the model with the probe? If so, I am curious how you installed it.

Trailtech makes great stuff. I have one of their Vapor computers on my KLR, it's handling the abuse quite nicely. Am going to stick one on the Tecate.

It has a inline fitting with the sensor in it.
