hard to say because i never buy trikes in good shape to start with. ussualy buy beat ones for a couple hundred and restore them. but all original 200x in good shape like the one you posed i see on craigslist all the time for 800-1200. Do they ever get that? i dont know. but that trike is easily worth 700.

7-800 sounds about right, maybe a little more if you don't rush and wait for the right person.

That's about going price for so cali. So many trikes here it really brings the value down, despite what people might ask for them..

Well for them prices, I think it can sit in the shop and look pretty. Worth more to me than giving it away for cheap. Thanks for the responses though!

Yeah, same boat almost. What could you buy for $1000 dollars that would be as dependable though? Some people would rather have the 85 than a newer one. I think there are more aftermarket and racing parts for the year you have. I have an 86 i bought new and just having something like to jump on and go, it can't be beat, in my opinion. I mainly use it for making trails or getting some fresh air. I guess my old man project may be putting a 2 stroke in the frame somehow and setting it up for flat tracking. I had 4" wheel spacers and fast trekkers on it back in the day and used to make curvy mud slick tracks through thickets about 10 feet wide and that's the most fun I ever had on a 3 Wheeler.

Same here in KY. The market is saturated with 200X and anything over $800 bux has been sitting on the market for over a year. The nice machines are priced fairly but nobody wants to pay that. I haven't put mine up for sale for just this reason. These are the pitfalls of putting much love into a 200X. The market has never been kind to them.

I would keep it too, around here it doesn't seem like anyone on craigslist has any actual cash. So here it would probably be worth a boat motor and a broken rc car:beer

That is my mind set as well, I didn't mean to insult you in any way it's just that the market is slim in Louisiana. Like Xpress said, people may ask a fortune but they don't sell for over 1000. But a machine like yours is better off in your hands anyway. You will never get what you want for it, and you will likely have sellers remorse if you do. Keep it, you can always display it at a conversation piece.

Its a nice lookin trike Johnny

I've seen too many custom built smokin badass 200x's on just this forum get parted out because that's the only way to recoup their investment.

So what is exactly the point of this post???. You ask people what they think, you dont like it, so you arrogantly promise to park it with the rest of your junk in your garage??? I'm confused.

I asked because I wanted to see what people would pay and what I could get for it, and that isn't what I'd sell it for. So I guess it can sit in the garage. And where do you see junk in my garage pal?

That's about a $700 bike in Oregon. Lots of 200x's around so that doesn't help. I bought my last one for $500, put $350 into it. Rode it and sold it a year later for $500 as that's all i could get LOL. Good lookin bike BTW

jmoosy Were in Louisianan to and all I ever see is nice bike with a price tag i cant even think about touching. Or they are really bad with a price tag I cant touch. We got lucky with what bikes we have. a couple we have saved from the scap heap and a few we have had since new and one atc 90 that we payed a premium for but it was super nice it sat in a museum all of its life. And to reply to the thread question if you price it beyond 6 700 dollars it will sit for a long time until someone who knows what they want and has a big wallet comes along.

Yep, if you want to get more than $500 bucks for something with 3 wheels it better be a 350x, 250r, or tecate. The weird part is you can likely get a 110 for damn near the same price as a 200x. 250es sell for about $700.

Sure different where I live in Canada. A 200x is rare to come across. A guy should buy a bunch of them and bring a semi load north and sell them for 1500$ apiece. lol

Lol you're right. I live in quebec and i was really lucky i scored one for 250$ but it has a 200s engine and its in rough shape. Last time i saw a really clean one it was 2000$ and really clean 250r or 350x people can ask up to 4000$ here lol fml -_-

Up in Minnesota the asking price for that 200x would be right around 1500. It would sell for probably around 1200.
What would I pay for it? 1000-1200 IF I was looking for a 200x. I already have one and don't need another...

Nice clean trike man!

If you want to sell it just list it with the price you are willing to let it go for...just because some guys told you prices you felt were low or insulting remember it only takes one person who wants it that is willing to pay your price and your golden.

jonny23
03-07-2015, 04:00 PM
To me? $1500-$1800
To some it's just a 200x but nice ones are hard to come by and its probably worth more to me then most.
I've seen what's out there and alot are beat
