Finally got me a licquid cooled 85 250R PIPE PIC'S ADDED

Welp, drove an hour today and picked it up. Needs lots a work, some brake parts, and a motor. Oh well it was cheap. It has an aftermarket wheel on front, oneal bars, and a twist throttle. The tank is faded, but i sanded on it for a few minutes. It will cclean up well. It's supposed to have a factory Honda racing silencer...anybody know anythnig about them?? It says something like not enviromental approved, for closed course only? Here are some pic's. One of the tank scoops is stil dirty as hell. Thats how all the plastic looked when I got it...anybody got a motor??? If I can't find a motor I'LL part it out. enjoy....

Looks good.. Plastic's didnt look that bad.. just alittle dirty.. :D I noticei t has a white tank.. I have considerd painting mine white. Some one before me had painted it white and they scratched it off.. how does it look with the white tank on it?

i think the white you see is bleached from the sun,nice find,good luck with the project!!

yea thats from the son, oh yea and some advice, never paint a plastic tank, it will just come off because of the air that goes through the thermo plastic.

MattThe white is the tank faded frome the sun. You can see were he sanded it and it is now red in that spot.

Can ya'll help me identify my pipe and silencer, I know they arent stock. The guy seems to think they are factory honda racing add ons

Definately not a Kerker silencer... I have one on my 250r and it has a seperable clamp to hold the silencer tube.

Might be a "King" silencer though, I faintly remember seeing an advertisement in one of my old trike mags for one that looked similar to the one in the pics.

As far as I know, all 2 stroke pipes have that closed course only on them.

Kinda looks like the Selvy's silencer a friend of mine has on his 85 250R. I'm not too sure about the pipe though.

Maybe a Bassani pipe??? seen a 3 wheeler on the web somewhere (wish i still had the pic) and the guy said it had a bassani pipe on it, and it looked identical to that one!
