big red swap

i can pick up a 1985 fourtrx 250 for free.will this fit in my 86 big red or my 85 sx if i need a spare?

If it's not a straight bolt in it's close, close enough to make it worth keeping if you have/find one. The only hang up I could think of is stator/pulse generator plug being different and the output shaft might not line up, if not it should be an easy enough swap. I currently have an atc 250sx, trx250 and 300 engine sitting on my floor in my garage. I could look for you later today

It should be a lot of the same internal parts. Top end should swap. Camshaft is smaller but will swap.

Phil if its a shaft drive it should swap!! did you do you get the whole thing?????

Pretty sure it's a drop in motor.
