well i live in minnesota but he is over an hour from me, but looking at it on ebay it's a very nice and clean 250R but i dno't think it's worth even close to what he is wanting to get for it, he is trying to sell it as a bike no one has when 90% of the people on here have them, only way i could see paying that much for a 85 250R ($4500.00) is if it was in the orignal box and never been started... just my thoughts... it's a good $2000.00 machine

He's not attemtping to sell a bike "no one has". He's selling a bike that is in very vary rare supply in this condition, which is stock (MINT). I would agree that squeezing 4500.00 is a stretch. But honesty 4000.00 would not be totally out of the picture. In 85 I bought one new for 2200.00. So if you really think about it, what other atv or dirkbike produced has "appreciated" in value besides the 250r and 350x? Most 85-86 atc's in exsistance are frankenstein's ie...modified exhaust, wrong carbs, bored, extended swingarms, incorrect rims and tires, wrong handle bars, incorrect throttles, and of course over all bad condition from(hard riding)! This is a gem of a find if it is what he claims it is? Of course, there is also another option. Just go down to your local Honda dealer and order the new 2004 act 250r. That should be no trouble, right? Only problem is, if you buy this, do you really want to ride it?

I would not ride it. I want this for a keepsake, somthing to look at . It brings back alot of great memories of my youth. I know it is way to much money, if one could be purchased still in the crate that someone stored I would buy it in a heartbeat regardless of price. I wonder if anyone has.
